Hyracodon grinding wheel of ± 4.5 x 3.5 cm, with the entire crown complete, is very large for its genre and without wear.
Hyracodon ('hyrax tooth'); although it closely resembles a primitive horse, this genus actually represents a
prehistoric rhinoceros shape. They lived from the Lutetian (Eocene) to the Aquitaine (Miocene) in North America.
