Slab made of stone nodules. ± 15 x 9.5 x 2 cm thick. It is polished on one side which highlights the veins.
Paesina stone, also called "landscape stone", "ruin stone", "uniform marble" and "Florentine marble", among other names, is native to Italy. Actually, it is a type of limestone that when cut into slices and polished, it reveals natural veins of iron oxides that resemble landscapes - with a minimum of poetic license - mountainous, castles and ruins.
