Spectacular matrix plate 26.6 x 26.1 cm , with a 26 x 11.4 cm carnivore fossil fish.
The specimen is well preserved with very detailed bone structure, vertebrae, fins and teeth.
The genus Phareodus is easily distinguished by the long pectoral fin (here prominently extended) and the large pointed teeth.
Myoplosus (family percidae) have pointed teeth and are believed to be voracious predators.
