Exceptional amber piece of ± 3 x 1.6 cms and 2.78 grams with termites that look perfectly to the naked eye.
This amber is unique because it is fluorescent and gives green color, can be appreciated with black light.
* Amber of Chiapas presents special characteristics; In its natural state, appears as yellow, reddish or golden nodules within strata of marine calcareous sandstones and lignite layers in geological formations corresponding to the late Oligocene and Early Miocene, dating from 22.5 to 26 millions of years. It has been determined that its paleobotanical origin was the resin of a legume of the genus Hyme-naea, ancestor of the tree known locally as guapiñol.
